Seeking Solace
After ten hours of shitty call taking...
Traveling in an oven with four wheels!
My purpose in life needed redefining.
Yet what is it that I do…
What is it that I look forward for?
A great mission - Reach for the stars for my
dreams?
Nope!
Frustration on mute is one thing (Avaya)
On a cell phone is another
Damn, why can’t I use the mute then?
Now…
Follow you dreams
Make it happen
Get real – lets day dream!
Life’s not a celebration
So let’s look at life’s celebration
Durga Pooja – isn’t my passion like in her’s
But wouldn’t you know
My body, mind and soul
Had attained personalities of their own
Body seeked rest
While soul yearned passion
Mind decided ! A new found solace !
Then..
Sweet-pain !
Dazed in the flame of life.
…Under a dim lamp
Was life re-defined
Drained of life’s will.
…Sour drink
Brought refreshed joy
Hungered for goals.
…A simple bowl
Sated me whole
Rouse of many hours.
…Tired nerves
Relaxed on the floor
Afraid outcast.
….Clutched on wool
Comforted at last
Sought new treasures.
…shook hands with one
A Friend-Solace I found
P.S. those who know me well !
Can you remember..
Those rare moments, my mouth remains sealed
Not even a whisper uttered
An unknown upward curve :)
Lets you know
Am comfortable n sated

"Contentment"

"Contentment"
I’ll always remember...the doorway-slightly ajar
Making me wonder,
Whether it ushers or gently forbids
The vision haunts me, when the moon creeps to its peek
The sinking moon-Daylight it brings
Most fears, say people-are engulfed in... its warmth
To me they linger as emotional joint
Puffing on it I wondered
Is it code to the heavenly abode?
Then one day, my eyes beheld
Not delight wrought from abuse
As muse on that sight
My haunt lingered no more
For by the door way
Stood contentment!

P.s.-it’s been more than 365 days since I put thoughts to words
Poem triggered by a Anand's profile pic – thank you!
